So many new doors have been opened for our family in the last several months, and maybe more will open soon too! God continues to bless our path! Things have never been more busy or more wonderful for the Duffy bunch. Each day the boys do something new and it is as if we are rediscovering the wonders of life again for the first time. You want to be in awe of this world? Then looks at it through the eyes of a child!
James is just talking up a storm and having conversations with him is very interesting and downright funny at times. Brendan is mobile and into everything! Daniel and I both stay busy in careers we really enjoy, the boys love their school, and we do special things to make memories as a family very often. I must admit though my favorite days are our "regular" days when we just do our normal things and hang out together. Playing with the boys in the playroom or at the park has got to be MY FAVORITE THING on Earth! Lately we've also been on this kick to do a lot of around the house projects, so that is keeping us busy as well. Our mission right now is tackling our back yard.
The Duffy Yard Project Includes:
- the planting of a red oak, three crepe myrtles, and flowers
-the installation of wooden swing set
- purchasing an umbrella for our patio set
- putting down some grass seed on some problem parts in our yard
- getting the boys a water table to go along with their sand box
Before too long we hope to put in a small raised bed for some gardening. Our backyard has been pretty blank since we built 4 years ago. Time to get ready for summer! :-) Maybe we'll have a party to celebrate when we get everything done! We heard about that idea from some friends, and love it!
On an unrelated note, you might be wondering where the pictures of James are when they are so many of Brendan. James doesn't like pictures. AT ALL! So we are trying but just getting shots of him looking majorly peeved. So, for now enjoy some of Brendan, my photo-loving cutie!
