Our Waterbaby!

James started swim lessons at AquaKids on Monday. The first day went great, and today....well, not so great. James spent the whole time trying to get away from me and escape. I guess he thinks he can swim already because he was just itching to take off on his own. My big belly did not help the situation and James was kicking the tar of out me during all his wriggling! I guess the perk is at some points he could kind of float on my baby belly shelf. The water felt G-R-E-A-T to me and took so much pressure off my back and legs. I felt like as a feather and it was like I could feel the baby floating too. It was the best sensation! When I was coming out of the water, I felt as though I weighed a ton. I wanted to hand James off to Daniel and just stay in the water for hours. We are hoping that James' response today was a fluke, so keep your fingers crossed that tomorrow goes better. Some of these pictures are not great because they were taken through glass but we wanted to share.

Hanging out with Daddy on the first day of class....not sure who had more fun!

I think this is a pretty cool effect....

Here Comes Peter Cottontail!

We spent Easter Weekend with Nana and Granddaddy! What fun! We had the egg hunt indoors since it rained, but James didn't seem to mind. Holidays are always great, but SOOO much more fun with a little one around. I can't tell you how much fun we had dying eggs or making the Bunny cake. James was completely spoiled by the Easter Bunny and he loved every minute of it. Thank you Nana and Granddaddy for coming up and for all your help taking care of James this weekend. We love you! Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Birthday!

I am normally not one to post a blog (this is Daniel by the way) - but I wanted to take a second and just wish the most wonderful woman a very happy birthday today. She is the best thing to ever happen to me and I want everyone to know that. She is the kindest, sweetest, nicest, most giving person I have ever had the luck of coming across and best part about that is that she ended up liking me enough to actually marry me!!! (hold your comments)

She is a wonderful mother and I am so blessed to be able to do it all over again. I cannot wait to take this next step in our life. Lauren you are the absolute best

Have a very happy birthday today Lauren!
Love

James' First Haircut

We took James to Cool Cuts this afternoon for his very first haircut. What a neat place! James really liked it and did great during his haircut. He was a little scared of the clippers but once he saw that the "tickle machine" was not going to hurt him, he relaxed and watched The Wiggles on the little TV at our station while getting his hair cut. We did not realize how much James needed a haircut until we saw the new 'do! We went with the faux hawk.....very cute and very big boy!

Waiting his turn!

Excited that he heard his name called for his turn!

The "before".

Not too sure about this.....

Starting to relax.

Wow....he DID need a haircut!

The "after".

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails.......

As most of you already know, we found out that our newest little bundle of joy is a BOY! He weighs about 1 lb 2 oz and looks very healthy. He is measuring a little ahead of the due date, and could arrive as early as July 31st! We are completely and utterly thrilled to be expecting another little boy. Having James as our son has been the most amazing experience and we can't wait for double the fun and wonder with our new little boy. James will be a great big brother and we are in love with the idea of watching our two boys grow up together so close in age. I am already imagining two little guys playing on the swing set, two little guys on a trip to Disney World and my two little men in bunk beds when they are big enough. What a blessing! Wonders never cease! God has blessed us with another miracle and we are living a dream. Life is really amazing.

PS - For those of you who recall, we were going to be surprised about whether this baby was a boy or girl. To make a long story short, Daniel and I could see on the screen during the ultrasound that our little one is a boy! Since I am basically OCD, this is probably a good thing. I feel a lot calmer now that I know who is in there and how to get everything ready for the big arrival! :-)
