Nevermind, just heard the weather man calling for possible snowflakes tomorrow. Guess we'll continue waiting on Spring here in North Texas. Glad we got out in the sunshine this past weekend while we could!
James was so excited to go the park and Brendan got to try out the baby swings for the very first time! :-)
At 6 months, Brendan weighs 16 lbs 6 oz (21st percentile) and measures 27.5 inches in length (76th percentile). He is sitting up unsupported really well and sleeping through the night from about 7:30pm until around 5:30am. Luckily he will go back to bed on the weekends after he eats until around 8am. He is still waking up once or twice some nights if he loses his paci, but will go right back to sleep. He has been eating baby food for breakfast and lunch and we will be adding in dinner now too. He loves fruit and sweet potatoes but other veggies seem to be a challenge! We'll keep trying and sooner or later maybe he'll be excited about them. I am still nursing but we have to now supplement 6-8oz of formula a day. Brendan LOVES snuggling, jumping in the jumperoo and playing on the floor with his big brother. The grin this baby gets when he sees his bubba just melts my heart. I bet he will walk early too, just to keep up with his big brother! One of our kiddos' favorite times of day is bath time. Having them both in the tub is so fun, but quite the workout if you are doing it alone. Thank goodness, most nights Daniel and I tag-team the whole bath and bedtime routine. The other big development, that actually took place about 6 weeks ago, is that both boys are now going to Premiere Academy. We are incredibly pleased with the care and attention they are receiving, how much happier they seem to be (tear-free drop offs!), and how much James is learning (and Brendan will learn!). I only wish we had done is sooner! Here are some pictures of our sweet baby boy at 6 months. Hoping to get James' two year pictures soon! That crazy toddler got a horrible shiner the day after his birthday and has a scratch or bump on his face since then! Boys!!! (PS - I am adding these pictures off the CD so they have not be centered, edited, etc. and I can't put on any of them right now that were taken with the camera turned vertically because I don't have time to rotate them, but hopefully will post them next weekend.)
Unless of course you live in Ft. Worth and you take them to the Stock Show! We took the boys today and I realized again how much I love this town and how glad I am that our kids are not only native Texans but are from Cowtown, from the place where the West begins! So much to do and see all year round. Today our little buckeroos had a fun time (well our littlest buckeroo snoozed away in his snowsuit- yes, it was cold!). Next year maybe we'll all wear some Western clothes.....got a kick out of seeing all the tiny cowboys and cowgirls. James loved the petting zoo, pony rides and carnival rides. I swear this kid has NO fear! So giddyup partner and check out our afternoon....
