Funny face! We are always cracking up at these silly faces....this one reminds us of an old man with his dentures out! Hee hee!
Less and less time to blog these days. I know that come August, these posts may become few and far between. But for now I have to continue blogging about my sweet family and the every day trials and tribulations (and countless joys!) that make up parenthood. This week it was discovering that James is cutting four new teeth at once and that perhaps he was a grouch because Mommy was not giving him enough food. Poor James! This boy is a bottomless pit!!! I have NEVER seen a kid eat this much or this often. Maybe we will finally be able to put some meat on his bones. He has the tiniest little tummy and his pants are always falling down. Well, now that he is eating as much as me, he is just great and we've never seen such as happy little guy!
Something else I have been thinking about a lot is how I am constantly wishing I could somehow store in my memory every single time James makes me smile. He has this new way of throwing his head back and laughing. It just lights up my heart! I never want to forget the way it looks or sounds.....not even if I live to be 100. I am trying to document all of these things and wrap up his first year scrapbook in the near future. I plan on scrapbooking about this blog and including a CD of all the posts in his album.
Hard to believe James will be a big brother in less than seven months. I am getting a belly and feeling the baby move now almost every day. The last day of my first trimester is Sunday. This pregnancy is going so much faster than the last and everything is happening sooner. For the most part I have escaped the morning sickness that I suffered with James, but have had some of the worst headaches. Jenn, James' babysitter, reports I am having a girl because I am already carrying differently and pretty high. I am so excited knowing that I will be able to hold a tiny baby in my arms again soon, especially since I now have a very independent toddler on my hands. If we could only keep them little.....
Here are some pictures that just capture what our life is like right now. James is now 13 months old. He can't get enough of "out" (going outside), music or raisins. These are his all time favorite things at the moment.
Sleeping like a baby, or at least like a toddler.....
The serious face of concentration....he could stack these little cups all day.
The "Are you a stranger?"" face. We are seeing this a lot these days...I secretly admit that sometimes it is nice when he only wants Mommy! James is getting so big he doesn't often want to cuddle, but if a stranger is around, I'm guarunteed a good snuggle!

He's growing up so fast! Such a beautiful boy and family!
Love and miss you!

The picture with his legs coming out of the crib cracks me up! And how fun that you can already feel the baby moving. It really is amazing when you stop to think about it. I do that from time to time and am just blown away by the fact that Ezra started out so tiny, tiny, tiny inside me. Now he's huge! What a miracle it all is.
